I thin AI has the capability to be a good tool (if only it wasn't so environmentally taxing... ;A;) but these kids definitely NEED to learn to think for themselves first and foremost. Critical thinking is such an important skill and the more I work with students raised by technology, the more I see that skill to be severely lacking. Many don't know how to think! They just expect the computer to give them all the answers, all the time, and trust it completely. That isn't education. That is dependency.

In other news, I moved into my new apartment yesterday. Slowly getting things set up. I am so glad first month rent is free, cause we probably have to spend that amount getting necessities (and also a cat tower for Dirt. I didn't own the ones in my previous location, unfortunately)

It´s a question-and-answer game I often played in high school.
The rules are simple. As the title says someone asks a question beginning with the phrase "Have you ever thought of...". The next person answers, then asks a new question.

To give an example:

Person 1: Have you ever thought of being a super hero?
Person 2: Yes, I have. I always wanted to be Batman and beat the shit out of everyone I don´t like. Have you ever thought of being the president of the US?
Person 3: No I haven´t, but I´ve thought of becoming the ruler of the entire world. I would be the most dreaded dictator in history. Have you ever thought of...?

...and... so... on...

And the world thirty, forty, fifty, etc years ago was just as fucked up as it is now. People were racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, there were wars, diseases, and natural disasters occurring everywhere. So why bother coming up with a fantasy that the past was super great? It's never been great, and it sure as heck was never comforting. At least when thinking about the future you can at least hope that things will be better.

If it was my last day on earth I'd go for a walk tbh. Spend some time thinking about nothing in particular.

The many Adverts of Dollars BBS (159)

It strikes me as a curious thing that recently, advert banner and images online are becoming increasingly more targeted towards individuals.

The most terrifying aspect of this is how advertising will offer up personalised adverts based on the sites that you visit, so if I had been browsing a clothing site previously, some of the adverts will start displaying items from that clothing website.

What I am particularly interested in however, is what you guys see advertised from the bbs website itself. So, screenshots away!

Yea I was in middle school too. By now I'm married. It's cool that Dollars BBS is still alive!
Back then I even got a black Sony Ericsson slider phone that was as close as it gets to looking like Kida's phone haha. Complete with phe bear plush. Sad that it broke. Slider phones gotta make a comeback man

I haven't bothered to figure out exactly what's going on with me but I do have what I call "The Hauntings". This mainly started out with one being a ghost and one being a demon from my dreams, hence the name, but things have changed. People have come, went, and died whilst rotting on the floor of our box for months.. I couldn't get rid of it. They've been around since my middle school days. Well, one or two of them have. It's a little complicated and, again, I don't really intend on figuring out my whole situation. Two of The Hauntings are from my dreams with both of them having made their appearance in said dreams back in middle school with one being a version of me and the other being the demon I mentioned.

The dream demon isn't that bad. Honestly, I was kinda worried when they weren't in their usual spot in the dream world and when they suddenly showed up and started talking to me while awake, it started messing with my ability to tell if I was awake or not but it's not that bad anymore.

The other version of me is...well... kinda a pain. He's petty and spiteful. He hate's anyone who's wronged me, even just a little. His anger is irrational. I'm surprised he's managed to be a reasonably father.. He's calmed down in the past few months but I'm pretty sure he's the reason I can't fully switch out with anyone anymore. I'm kinda just... chained to the front desk. Even now I can feel it. To be honest, I've always been hesitant on letting other things control my body again. My own body has taken to locking up even when someone else is thinking something risky. It's.. annoying but it's kept people safe. I have to be the responsible one.

Let's talk super powers! (176)

I just saw the trailer for X-Men First Class (so excited) and it made me think about superpowers! Personally, I always think about what it would be like to have superpowers, I think about it daily actually, haha. What about you guys? Do you have any superpowers you would love to have and why?

Here's one of mine and my reason:

Teleportation;
I think about this one the most. My reason for wanting this power is so I would be able travel where ever I wanted and see everything I've always wanted to see. I could go anywhere without having to drive or and it would be quick and easy. It would be a simple escape, you know? And I want to be with someone who lives pretty far from me who I think about a lot and I really wish it was as easy as being able to teleport to where they're at

My answer to this question is always shapeshifting for so many reasons.
1 - Like someone else pointed out, it's basically a cheat code to a bunch of powers (flight, enhanced speed, strength or senses, camouflage etc). Can basically get in or out of anywhere
2 - I want fangs. Also think it would be pretty neat to change eye colour day by day to unnerve people (yes I know contact lenses exist, I wear them, but they are not instantaneous nor without discomfort.) Also I think having antlers or horns woukd be neat sometimes but very inconvenient to have all the time (they'd get caught on stuff. Same with a tail).
3 - Speaking of those other abilities - running like a cheetah or flying like an eagle. Someone possessed you off? Boom, dragon.
4 - no more impulse haircuts or hair regrets ever. Instant dye.
5 - I'm nonbinary, can't deny the chance to swap between total androgyny and playing wih various presentations sounds pretty fun
6 - recognise someone you hated in school / people you owe money / etc coming down the road? Well they won't recognise you
